Reuben Hoch's collaboration with Dave Liebman dates back to 1987, when Reuben was a member of the Israeli jazz quartet, Zaviot and Dave was a featured soloist on the quartet's 1987 recording, "Unexpected". Dave was subsequently featured on Reuben's solo efforts, "Live in New York at the Knitting Factory" and "If I Only Knew". In 1998, Dave and Reuben again performed together at The Hollywood Jazz Festival. During this performance, some of the Chassidic Jazz Project's repertoire was first played, and Reuben saw the tremendous contribution that Dave could make to the music.

The Chassidic Jazz Project affords Dave the opportunity to dig deeper into his ancestral roots, and we are proud to offer presenters the option of booking the Chassidic Jazz Project with special guest artist and master saxophonist, Dave Liebman.
